MY ART JOURNEY
I started playing the piano when I was 4. Since then, I have won numerous national and international competitions. When I turned 9, I entered the prestigious music school in our country - Vietnam National Academy of Music and became an official student in the Piano department.
I have participated in several musical performances and television shows, in which I took different roles, ranging from performers to MC and even scriptwriter.
Recently, I won the Best Script Award in the FLSS Literature Stage Adaptation Competition, in which I was the Head of Scriptwriter and Acting trainer.
I also study several courses on analyzing arts, including those at my music school and a course on analyzing movies.
WHY DO I CREATE THIS MEMOIR?
My love for art has bloomed since I was still a four-year-old child. A young pianist and a singer, I cherished the time on stage more than anything else. Soon, I became an avid art enthusiast - first, a music lover, then a regular theatregoer, and eventually, a cinephile. As I grew, my love for art became stronger, urging me to unveil the essence of art.
At first, as a student of a renowned music academy, I devoted most of my attention to music. I started by analyzing the works of the composers whose pieces I played - Bach, Mozart, Beethoven and Schubert. Assessing their masterpieces, I was drawn to their stage works. Theatre art became the first destination on my journey to explore the magnificent art world, and all the timeless stage works became the strong wind - the driving force behind the ship sailing to the wonderful land. From Classical operas to Vietnamese Traditional drama, from the grand opera house to the makeshift stage in the countryside, I observed how a masterpiece unfolded before me, trying to grasp the meaning behind any artistic details. The more I explored, the greater my urge to understand the origin of art.
Observing how these exemplary stage works, especially traditional theatre, gradually fall into a territory of oblivion so that exciting modern art can shine in this era, I recognize my responsibility to help preserve this form of art. I tried to integrate elements of Vietnamese traditional theatre into the play I performed in the 10th grade, and tried to embrace the cultural values in the first script I wrote for the FLSS Literature Stage Adaptation Competition. My efforts met with praise and compliments from others, evident through the Best script in the competition.
However, that is not enough. I, and every art enthusiast, still need collective efforts from the public to preserve Vietnamese traditional theatre. Hence, I create this blog to share my love for Vietnamese traditional theatre and help preserve these magnificent art forms and our culture.
We hope our journey will receive support from all enthusiasts who come across our page. Waiting to see the secrets behind the glamorous performances.
